Job Description:
The IT Network Professional will be responsible for designing, implementing, and maintaining the company’s and clients’ network infrastructure to ensure optimal performance, security, and reliability. The role involves diagnosing network issues, managing system upgrades, and ensuring smooth connectivity across all business operations. The ideal candidate will have strong technical expertise in networking systems, problem-solving abilities, and the capacity to work both independently and collaboratively.
Main Duties and Responsibilities:
- Design, install, configure, and maintain LAN, WAN, and wireless networks.
- Monitor network performance and ensure system availability, reliability, and security.
- Troubleshoot hardware, software, and network issues promptly.
- Implement firewalls, VPNs, and other network security measures.
- Manage network servers, routers, switches, and related infrastructure.
- Perform regular system backups and disaster recovery operations.
- Collaborate with software and support teams to integrate new technologies.
- Maintain network documentation, including diagrams and configuration records.
- Ensure compliance with data protection and IT security standards.
- Provide technical support and training to staff and clients as needed.
Required Skills and Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, or a related field.
- Proven experience in network administration or IT infrastructure management.
- Strong knowledge of networking technologies (TCP/IP, DNS, DHCP, VLANs, VPNs).
- Experience with routers, switches, firewalls, and network monitoring tools.
- Familiarity with Windows and Linux server environments.
- Excellent analytical, troubleshooting, and communication skills.
- Relevant certifications such as CCNA, CompTIA Network+, or equivalent (preferred).
